Default Changing the color/style of your New ACE Website

You will find different colors and styles to change the appearance of your site in the Members Area.

After downloading the color you would like, upload the contents of these files to your server root to change your site (and into the admin folder if you would like to change the admin too). If you have already uploaded your header image, FIRST save a copy of it on your hard drive since it will be overwritten.

All the other colors of your site are editable with the style.css document in your ACE folder. You simply need to change the color codes (some are listed below and you can find others with programs like Photoshop). Open your CSS style document and you will see different color codes after the # marks. Change the color code for the link or whatever part of you site you would like to modify. Then, upload the CSS Style document to your root directory and overwrite the previous one.

The approximate color codes for the ACE styles in the members area are as follows (codes for each color vary with shade).
Black-#5A5A5A
Blue-#1A3DB3
Dark Red-#751111
Green-#54A91A
Light Blue-1#37F89
Light Purple-#EC92EA
Orange-#B57901
Pink-#EC92EA
Red-#8A1315

You can change any line to any color you want on the CSS Style Sheet. Here is a guide to some of the lines you might like to change.

Make a backup of your style sheet, try changing different color codes and experiment with what looks best!

These instructions are OK I guess but you fail to tell how to get to root folder ace folder and you say change colors in members area well as I look above to my right it says member area my user name private messages and logout nothing about changing colors the instructions you are giving are fine but you don't tell how to get there is this stuff located in c-panel or?

I think instructions are aimed at seasoned web designers and not newbies
Please tell us steps how to get these places to make these changes. Thank you.

Did you look at this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB_2x76tqnI

It is basically done like this (it has nothing to do with the cpanel):
1. go to acesitecreator.com, login, go to the members area on the right and download the color you would like.
2. open the file you downloaded. There will be an images folder
3. connect to your site via any FTP software. You will see the public_html folder. Inside of that, you will see the another images folder like the one you downloaded
4. upload the images folder you downloaded (overwriting the the one in your public html folder)

That's it. Please email if you have any problems.
